The wheel of life is a simple but powerful and effective tool that is designed to help you with a visual representation of areas in your life that you need to work on to achieve balance, productivity and happiness.
The wheel is separated into eight areas of life that make the difference between being happy and not.
The instructions are easy. You grade each area of the wheel from 0 -10. Zero being absolutely nothing going right in this area of life to ten meaning you are totally happy and content with aspect of life and there is no room for improvement.
This is why the wheel is so important, it allows you to take stock of different aspects of your life, being thankful for some areas and allowing you to concentrate on those areas that need more work.
There are eight areas to the wheel of life, which are;
- Friends and family
- Physical environment
- Financial Security
- Career
- Fun and recreation
- Health
- Significant other
- Personal growth

Interpreting your Wheel of Life results
The scores will be between 0 to 10, the optimum score would be 10 but anything over 7 would indicate that you are potentially happy with that particular area of your life. If you score under 7, then that could potentially indicate that you need to take remedial action in order to be happier with that area of your wheel.
Working on one area of your wheel could have significant positive outcomes on other every other part of your life.
Taking action
Now, you have created your wheel and interpreted your results, it’s now time to take ACTION. If there is only one area of the wheel under 7 be careful that the actions you take to resolve this does not have a negative affect on your more positive areas of life.
